When no scam has occurred, SA topic is closed.

I think there should be a place to report sus behavior. This should clean up the SA. Yay or nay?

There is no way to report bad manner behavior, it’s simply just that. If there is a forum rule violation, than you can report the post by using the report function.

If you suspect someone of trying to scam you, that isn’t a reportable offense even if it’s “sus”, remember to always use a mediator to avoid being scammed and if you truly felt like you were scammed then post in the SA forums, which appears you did and it got closed.

Reason being is that all because you believe someone is being “sus” doesn’t actually mean that his intentions were “sus” meaning it doesn’t mean he was trying to scam if you simply got the feeling of him trying to scam based off of his actions or words.

If there are multiple violations, you can gather them and forward them to a Trade Moderator.

Gotcha. No scam occurred. And it wasn’t my topic it’s just something I have seen regularly as I browse the SA forum.

No worries - and there’s been tons of suggestions on cleaning up the SA forums. The truth is, it’s much better now than it has been, mainly because users spread the word of requesting a mediator.

The only way to clean up the SA forums is using a mediator for every single trade. The site can add as many implementations as users want but user error will still let scams occur.

Thanks. I know the service is available. Haven’t had to use it before thankfully. And I took care of this transaction by refunding the fg and documenting his acknowledgement. I will consider the idea to be closed

I appreciate the suggestion, as said above I recommend you give the mediator service a try, its extremely intuitive / quick as long as both parties read the PM they receive and follow the instructions and its 100% safe because the FG is held by JSP itself and not the mediator.

That will lead to witch-hunts. No thanks.

People will use it as a weapon to waste mod effort investigating forum enemies. In addition, I doubt it will have any impact on behavior, only helping people learn to be less "sus"
