The idea of the system is that we all get 5 referrals let's say per month (just as a base example,) and the people who are invited by the individual will be help accountable for the people they invite. That way, we are essentially adding a firewall to the idea of scams / FG theft / lying / etc.

The people that are invited will be on probation from the person invited them for let's say 3 months, and if they break a rule it reflects badly on the person who initially invited them. In this case, free registration will be closed, and you can only invite people that you absolutely trust.

It's my personal opinion that if we do this, it will unify a lot, and everyone will have EVERYTHING they need, until the FG runs out in which case we literally purchase from the site admin. It's a protection for us and for Njaguar. It's reassurance on both sides, and it seems fair.

Please feel free to debate, I'd like to see where this leads.

No - no limit, and no responsibility. I'm not responsible for what my referrals do. This isn't a torrent program site where we need to be held accountable for who we bring about does, or doesn't do. D2jsp should have a referral program, but I don't think you've thought about this is in terms of user value, which is how you should approach site suggestions. It isn't your job to solution for the admins, or site volunteers - thats their job. Your job is to think about user value.

You should rewrite this up in terms of how, as a user, you would like to use, and receive referrals, and what features, and functionality you would get from that.

Well that's kind of the point. Pick your referrals wisely, because they are a reflection of you.

There's already a probationary period for new users and adding restrictions for longer would only deter a new user base. I also should not be responsible for anyone else's actions anywhere ever. Creating this referral system sounds great in theory but without incentives it's pointless and with incentives I can see it being used as a tool for people to create multis.

I don't think this would be a good idea for JSP overall.

Well that's the thing. It would only apply to those who already registered and accredited. myspleen.org is a good example of this type of system, and there are absolutely no multis. Plus, so easy to track the IP, especially when connecting server side.

There wouldn't be a multi report feature if tracking was so easy.
Edited out this sentence as i have no idea what that site is. They're only tangentially related in the fact that they are websites.
If I'm going to get punished if one of friends decides to troll one night, I'm not going to refer anyone here. I think this needs a bit more thought to it because as is you're not adding anything new other than punishing veteran users and new users for longer than they already are.
