The idea:
Guilds as the entity would have their own collective Funds/bank to store donated forum gold that is accessible like all other features under the same rules and accessibility that is set forth by the Guild owner.

Why?:
I cannot fathom the purpose of other peasantry based, inferior Guild collaborations. But The Guild of Lords sees this as an opportunity to host gaming tournaments, competitions, & events by doctrine of The Lords High Court to further my name & reputation (Janakah) amongst the lower classes of uncivilized beings across the wondrous internet.

What is someone in your guild snipes it all and leaves? Couldn’t there be some serious negative consequences to this?

They could swipe it and risk being locked and labeled a scammer.
It is also the owners discretion of who he/she may allow to have access to such funds. We have laws in our normal society with real consequences but that doesn’t stop bad people from breaking them. They just have to face the punishment when it comes. Which is another reason why gold logs exist. If somebody took the funds without authorization they would need a lot of sound evidence as to why they would take it and if nobody else agreed to those terms the will be labeled a traitor and hang’d for treason.

I just think it is the only way to properly host events via the internet in the name of a Guild without having multiple micro transactions and such via each individual involved. Plus it would be cool to see the funds raise. It would also be a way for guilds to send and receive donations.

You could literally have guilds sponsor anything in true name. As opposed to discord. Which doesn’t really have any direct correlation to JSP’s currency system.

I think the idea of “banking fg” has been dismissed many times because it makes it easier for scammers to hide fg.
If you want to donate to a guild, you can donate to its leader. Some guilds, such as mine, will publicly list donations and how much is currently

Yeah that makes sense. I just like it being tied to a Guild in case the owner gets hit by a beer truck and nobody knows. Also the sponsoring and stuff. But having it publicly listed for donations makes sense also. I just like the idea of automation.

As for scammers I just think if the fact that gold logs exists created a trail to find said gold that has been scammed.

In my opinion, having a guild bank would definitely cause opportunities for scam.

I fail to understand this point of view which has been brought up multiple times. Just because there would be guild gold bank, doesn’t mean anybody and everybody in the guild would have permission to take it as they pleased. The owner of said guild gets to give those permissions. Just like any other permissions guild owners have authority over. Getting “scammed” is irrelevant because it’s the guild owners choice to allow different individuals guild gold rights.

Lastly, there is a punishment system already built into scamming or stealing forum gold and people get scammer tagged and locked. So this isn’t bringing anything new to the table where there are thousands of checks and balances to be made. The system already exists.
