Guild owners and permitted members have the ability to purchase a variety of guild features. Sometimes preferences changes or guild purchases are made in error. The ability to remove purchased guild features would allow a guild added flexibility in guild management. Guilds would have the ability to add and remove features at their leisure.

This should reduce requests to moderators when purchases are made in error as guilds will have the ability address those errors themselves.

The ability to remove a previously purchased feature could either be free or have a fee associated with it. Either approach would increase forum gold purchases by guilds. The free approach would require a guild to re-purchase a feature they previously elected to remove creating repeat purchases for the same feature. The latter would be a direct means to increase forum gold purchases by guilds by tacking a price on the ability to remove a previously purchased guild feature. Lets face it, a lot of people on this forum are quite OCD so why not give them the ability to micro-manage their guild and increase forum gold purchases in the process.

The suggestion is to increase guild management flexibility. A byproduct of doing so would be increased feature purchases and forum gold purchases to do so.

Some food for thought:
* Some guilds have Guild Topics that have not been posted to in months or years that could be considered an eye sore.
* A guild owner may want to create exclusivity by restricting the number of guild slots available.

Different strokes for different folks. Not everyone may want to remove features to cater to their aesthetic desires but some people may. Regardless, the ability to remove previously added features isn't a novel idea but we presently do not have the ability to do so. Any such changes requires the acquisition of or starting a new guild.

A suggestion as a variant of this, is to be able to list guild features for sale, rather than deleting.
Similar to the "Donate for me" function on the site, perhaps have a guild only subforum for guild items to be bought and sold.
I feel as the entire guild system needs a revamp anyway, guilds currently have no value, the only way to get rid of a guild as a guild owner is by one person or another paying to transfer it, there should be a "physical" ownership of guilds and guild items, much like a character and items, so that they're able to be traded, sold, or given away.
Perhaps this could bring back some of the value of a guild.

Votes yes regardless.

I feel maybe not remove, but maybe a hide button or a restart etc that way if guild changes hands or if you decide on bringing something back your able to without needing to buy it back. But if it's less work to work in the delete option go that way. But I know you can hide things in your profile maybe give options to do that if it isn't already there been a while since I looked either way voting yes as something needs to be done.
