Cons:

I can understand a few reasons for not allowing this feature for everyone, like GPs.

I can foresee people arguing that X member kicked out Y members without permission and deleted our guild. That argument is completely retarded because they can only do that with permission in the first place.

Pros:

It's free.
It's instant.
It's trade topic free.

REQUIREMENTS

It should only be allowed if the guild owner and his guild meet the following requirements.

  • Guild has had the same single member for a minimum of six months.
  • Guild has zero Guild Points.

You didn't explain *why* a guild should be deleted.

You can always have its name changed or pass it to someone else.

You really should broaden your horizons instead of thinking in binary.

My reason is so I can join a different guild without the need to go through the transfer process.

I was simply asking for a good reason to vote yes.
So basically you don't want to pay the 1000 fg fee like everyone else have done so far.

Easy "no" from me.

You already voted no... not that your vote matters lol

I generally don't agree with this user on many things but I honestly see no down side to this.
One of the things this site uses and needs more of is fg sinks to clear it from the system.

With that being said I feel if guilds had to be bought new it would sink more fg so to speak.
Now as for the terms of how its done and the conditions that need to be met I have no opinion.

/EDIT
on second thought make the option ONLY available to guild owners to prevent issues period.

Id vote yes if the option was only for guild owners. You made it, you can close it. It seems silly youd have to convince someone else to buy your guild in order to join a new one as the last guy standing. And that guild name isnt doing you any favors lol

But Id make it cost something, say 500fg. More gold sinks are probably a good thing for the overall health of the site.

I can see this especially being useful for the users that buy a new guild with no “extras” - which are actually quite hard to even give those away if you pay the fees yourself. A lot of used guilds WITH extras get given away for free now a days so if you’re stuck in a default guild that nobody wants, you should be able to delete it/relieve your burden for xxxx fg. (Perhaps the same price as transferring imo)

Someone should delete that shit guild you’re in.

I’d vote yes on this general idea, the only feasible option being guild owners are the only ones who can delete the guild.

I say no. The inability has always been this forum's charm and prevents the "guild boom" version of a babyboom post-war.
