well notifications are ok but what about those that would like the option?

If you using Windows 10, the Action Center will make a sound for you .
So no need for getting into that kind of development when your windows can do it for you, for free.

My vote is no.

And for those of us that prefer windows 7? my my my are we a bit selfish?

My friends I have created many websites and what makes the a bit above grade is that I made them compatible with many different operating systems and with many user friendly options.

I have found that Just having a web site specifically for one type of browser or operating system leaves some with little or no access to its features. I think ( in business terms) it is Better to allow as many customers access and make many user friendly features.

You do realise that windows 7 is out of date. If you have an android phone, you can maybe setup your notifiations on your phone, since changing to a newer OS isn't an option for you, PC wise.

If you have an iPhone it isn't possible sadly (apple's fault, not jsp's)

I agree windows7 is outdated but I have concerns that the new version of windows is a bit more intrusive than most realize. And with the "convenience" of auto updating, you really do not know what information is being gathered about yourself.

Where the Idea of a sound coming from jsp came from my enjoyment of playing an online game but spending a lot of said playtime waiting for a response from some using Jsp.

A notification (sound) from jsp would alert me that someone wanted contact (perhaps a trade?) and I therefore would pause my play time to go take a peek.
