I sometimes like to play the hourly raffle, but I usually only play it when the pot is over 15-20K FG. I think it would be nice to be able to receive a notification once it reaches a specific amount.
My suggestion is simply to add a check box with an input field (as seen in the image below) to specify the amount of FG you'd like to receive a notification at. So if I check the box and input 20,000 FG I would receive a notification as soon as the pot reaches 20,000 FG.
All this would do is send you a notification through the notification system that the pot is at X FG and clicking on it would send you to the hourly raffle.
Pros:- It's convenient. If I want to play the raffle when it's over a certain amount I don't have to be constantly checking and possibly miss seeing it reach that amount causing me to wait another few days before reaching that size of a pot again.
- People will be more inclined to play the raffle if they receive a notification reminder.
- People may start playing more frequently.
- People who would otherwise never play may start playing if they can receive a notification when it reaches a high pot.
- It'll increase the FG sink since for every ticket bought some of the FG goes to the pot and the rest gets taken out of the system.
Cons:- It may cause a slower start to the pot since people might just set reminders at a high amount and forget about it until they receive a notification.
- Maybe site load will be affected, but that's for Paul to determine.
