greetings! this is a thread asking to have a new sub forum under the current world of warcraft section. as many of you are aware blizzard announced the development of a new "classic server option" at last years blizzcon. the next blizzcon is coming up in the beginning of November. we are all in hopes to get a detailed update and possibly a release date.

the community around this is very large and extremely dedicated. blizzard themselves has made a forum for this on their website that is totally independant from the current retail version.

I feel the forums here have enough cause to implement a dedicated forum as well.

I foresee obvious need for a trading section also, but that would not be necessary before launch of course.

the discussion aspect I see no reason to delay or have mixed within the retail section of the game.

When the servers are up it will be added for sure.
Can discuss it in general wow section until then.

Until then, a classic section would just be confusing to people who don't know that talking about private servers is against the rules. You can still discuss classic in the wow forums right now but once the servers go live we're gonna need to separate them for trading, LFG / Guild recruitment etc.

No. The wow forum has 3 users at peak times. It's already dead and segregating it further will only make it worse.

even with a lack of people in the forums im going to vote yes just because information pertaining to classic should be separated.

once the game is live, sure. unnecessary right now.
