i think its a nice idea since people who allready got what they offered / needed don't need this topic and it will let other people know whats allready off limits.

i vote yes. i often have topics i could have closed myself.

No Bad idea, Only Members ++ up can do that.

Plus closing topics Causes the site Load too get heavy. Which will make it slow, So it would be a easy way for people to attack d2jsp.

I say no as well.

Already been discused and it is not possible.

Users would lock their threads just to have last word in it. Same goes with eternal edit button - people would cover some thing under edit whenever they want.

you could write "closed" in your first post, so everyone knows it.

Or you could respond at the end of the post with "Closed" just the same.

That's what I usually do, but you have to realize, d2jsp's forums are full of idiots who don't read, and simply bump your topic up anyway, because they read the first post and assume it's still open.
