i hate being stuck in my guild until i can find somebody to buy it. i've been searching for weeks and nobody will take it over. just wish one of the mods would just kick me out of my guild or delete it or some other option.

if it means less people spamming topics about a guild, yeah you should be allowed to just leave it.

however, it wont happen.
no one in it means no one to take over and a ghost guild is now taking up shop.
deleteing it seems odd considering all the FG someone put into it.

Yes, of course.

You should be able to do anything with what you purchase; either disband it or transfer it to someone.

Yeah, I don't see an issue with being able to forfeit a guild if you don't want it anymore and can't find a buyer.

TBH I don't think this is very relevant. If you own a guild and just don't want it anymore, why should you not be allowed to forfeit the guild? Have it deleted? Not to mention, this particular user has been trying to give his guild away for free (just having the new owner pay the transfer fee)

This
Maybe 500 fg to disband even.
Ive always hated selling guilds. Ive purchased/sold 3 of them and not having that option sucked for the last one I sold vs fees. Took over 2 months to get rid of it and it was posted un GC and the df

Well, he has been trying to give it away for free (which of course means transfer fees and possibly name change) so technically the "price" is 1k - 1.5k by default.
I do agree he could advertise a little better though.

I'll vote yes, since I believe it's only fair that if you paid lots of fg for your guild you should be able to abandon it whenever you please without fees.
Take the rainbow orb as an example. Yes we pay a lot of fg for this but we are not restricted to only using this orb, we are allowed to change at will and even remove it. I hope my explanation makes sense. :)

You shouldn't need to pay to have it deleted. That's just really bad design and makes the ownership less flexible.
If you buy a fresh new guild, you will have some serious troubles finding a new owner without having to pay someone to take over it. That should never be the case with something you buy.

I always compare those things with a sinking ship, when the ship is sinking should the captain leave it and let the ship alone?

Imo the fee is nice as it is because those things does not happen every day, you dont change a ownership every day. A owner of a guild should be loyal, and iam sure you find someone who will take it over if you keep looking for.
