Over the years d2jsp has become a close net global community with members covering a variety of ethnic backgrounds / age / sex etc… The greatest commodity this forum has to offer is this community. I believe we should take advantage of this, each individual member offers a unique perspective along with life experiences.

I am proposing a new sub-forum which can offer emotional support or just simply advice regarding any family problems members may be having. Each of us has a responsibility to help other individuals within the community. The sub-forum proposed would detail sensitive information if users feel comfortable sharing, due to this members using this sub-forum must at all time show respect for each other and not disclose personal information outside of the community.

For example, for those of you that do not know me my name is Nick (known as Coops) from the UK. I’m a nurse by trade and the joy of my life is my 2 year old son. Unfortunately I am no longer with my sons mother, like many fathers I feel I have no rights to my son. My ex unfortunately plays god with my visitation rights to my son… I know this is not a unique situation, which got me thinking! Due to my profession I understand the power of simply communication with somebody, talking about problems brings new insights and hopefully some new friends to contact when times are bad. I live by the philosophy “treat somebody how you would like to be treated yourself”, this is why I propose this sub-forum.

Don’t get me wrong, this sub-forum doesn’t have to be all about emotional support. Parenting is a vast subject. People could share good play areas / deals on trips out etc

I could see the good the forum could bring, but I could also see the bad being how everyone has a different view and could lead to a place of flame etc.

I'm gonna have to hold my vote for now, till I think about it for awhile.

i completely appreciate your opinion on this matter, I agree that it would need a mod to watch over it but the benefits of it far out way the possible negatives.

I suppose it comes down to each individuals maturity level, it is part of the forum rules to respect each other and not flame.

My brother have the same situation with his kid, he also live in England hehe.
Anyway, I'm down for it.

While i like the idea, i believe this could become a troll cave with easy game for trolls :/ And with people sharing sensitive information i see easy and entertaining game for the trolls.

But well, that's just my 2 cents..

I agree with this as my h as it would be nice to share and talk about that jsp isn't the site for this.

Yes, it'd be very helpfull.

Also, if people find some d2jsp's fellow members who have been passing the same problem or have passed the same problem, so their experiences may help and probably will change your mind before you decide to do something that will have bad results for your life.
