You could block the people though. But I do see what you mean. I voted yes because I personally would like this. But I also would hate having some pissed off rand or impatient person spamming my inbox all day/night.

if they spam you just block them and report...

what fucking data plan do you have bro? what kind of text message takes up that much data? it is not like they are sending you a 1Mb picture with every "you have a PM" text message.

I think a better option may to to receive an email to your assigned account email upon PM or tracked topic response for example. Emails are easily customizable on phones to be alerted upon arrival.
