In my opinion there is no difference between flaming or personal attacking as posts in threads or via personal messages.
The personal messages are even more "personal", so even worse in my eyes.

At the moment people can rely on that nothing will happen anyway if they flame or attack via pm so what's the sense in it NOT making it possible?
Well, flaming may simply be blocked but to keep a nice atmosphere (which I thought was one of jsp's interests) this attitude should not be tolerated.

Warnings are given for people with bad behaviour but where is the difference between showing these public and doing it personal?

In my opinion personal attacks should simply be treated with warnings!

I will vote null because you can always block them from pming, and then just move on.

In extreme situations you may contact a mod regarding this, but would need to be something other than someone just being a little bit of a keyboard warrior and calling you names. It is too easily avoidable to add more features to be honest.

Flaming isn't fun unless there's an audience.
Hence you get flamed like once per month tops, per pm.
