So apperantly there is this new feature that has just come in within the last half year, were you can't bump topics anymore after 3 months, it is rather useless in the Site Suggestion forum. This Site Suggestion is to simply put a end to this in the Site Suggestion forums so we can keep are suggestions open without having to pm a member of the staff to reopen it for us whenever we want to bump it up again. If a suggestion is bad or not good enough it is closed but if it's let open it is either good or worth looking into, so why should this "Access Denied" message come up on it?

It's a real simple suggestion if you think this feature shouldn't apply in this forum vote Yes. If you think it should be left like it is vote No. Leave any input you want in the matter, all is welcome.

Paul you look at suggestions when they are made within a day or so of it coming out and probably think it over. The forum is just for suggestions to further help the site, it's just requesting a simple vote and or input on the matter to see what people think of it and nothing else. So there is no need to bump the topic up every 24 hours like you would, a trade topic, discussion topic, etc..etc. I've got/had #since I can't bump them now..# topics open for over 2-3 years and never had a problem about bumping it even if I've waited more then 3 months before bumping it.

although 3 months is a huge time where you can bump your topic once in 2-3 months, i still voted yes because it would apply only in the site suggestions.

This is not a new feature, it has been for as long as I can remember.

Aside from that, I think it's a good thing. If a suggestion thread died completely, it's probably because there was no interest for it. If you really think it was a good suggestion after all, it's better to post a new thread for it and explain it differently, so that it may attract more interest this time.

I voted no. I think three months is more than sufficient time to bump a topic. If the suggestion creator wants to see that update become a reality, then they should take it upon themselves to bump their topic frequently, I'd even say once a week. I don't think asking for a post every ninety days is too much. Also, if the suggestion is very well received, it will likely remain bumped from forum members talking about it.

I think it should be implemented in other subforums too, like scammer acc. I was bumping a thread for awhile due to being scammed, and the guy quit jsp so I stopped bumping it. About 6 months later he came back, but I was unable to keep bumping my thread because of that 3 month rule (this was like 3+ years ago). I wasn't even allowed to make a new thread and a mod wouldn't bump it for me :( I was told to let it go. So I think this would be useful there too

the thing about 3month have been here more than 2 years i believe

3 months is plenty of time to bump it

if u dont do it by then it should mean u lost interest in it

i would say if this get added it should be a feature where it cost 5fg

that should show u still have interest in the topic

been here forever. if there isn't any interest in your site suggestion for 3 months, its obviously not a good one.

I've had topics open for over 3 years in this forum and haven't bumped them far over 3 months and worked fine. Also like I said in the first post there is no need to keep bumping a site suggestion up every day or week (I'm just bumping it up daily atm to get a point across). When u make a suggestion your just asking for votes and thoughts on the suggestion. Paul already looks at the suggestions within the first week of them being up. So he already knows about it.

This would only work for this forum also so we can keep these suggestions up without having to spamming them constantly just so we can bring them to the top and get a free "spam" post. For example, any topic in this forum has mutiple pages of the user who made the topic just bumping it and no one leaving any reply or comment about it. They simply look, vote, and going on about there day, like most people do for these things. To the creater of this topic even if the suggestion is amazing or bad with no one replying or no votes coming in it makes them no want to bump the topic up anymore.

There is so few people who look in this forum as is, go look at any suggestion there is never more then 500+ votes (500+ different members) in total when this site has 791,133 members. It's not a active forum and it doesn't need to be active which is why this 3 month bump rule is useless in here.

Another example is with 50 topics a page the last one was bumped 4 days ago and on the next page 17 days, and so on.. So this suggestion shouldn't be a problem at all.
