Hi! So a few years ago, I think back in '08 or something I tried to suggest and bring in, that when a user blocks another user, that blocked person and vice versa, no longer has the ability to comment on each other's photos.

The reason I say this, is if you look on Facebook or whatever, when you get blocked, you cannot comment on someone's elses picture. It becomes kind of standard that when you block someone, the definition of block being, "Incapability to contact someone", that person shouldn't be able to make contact with you unless unblocked.

I'm seeing now, that some of my friend's and such who have blocked users, I won't say names due to privacy, but some recent gallery uploads have showed examples of this, that the blocked users are still able to comment and not harass, however still nag at them via photo comments on their gallery.


Now this being said, some people may think, if they're being harassed why is their photos public, or why don't they contact a pm?

Well, if it's only one person or a two, that person who uploaded the image shouldn't feel obligated to then reduce their entire gallery or picture to private, because of one harassing user they blocked, which is clearly limited to PM only. Also, some of the remarks aren't borderline harassment, however annoying.

The privilege to block a user because they are bugging you or whatnot is available for private messages, but a lot can be said over photo gallery comments.. it should apply the same if you simply want someone not commenting on your photos for a legitimate reason, they shouldn't be able to do so.


And please, I only want serious feedback on this. Because I honestly know, many mean things which are completely unnecessary are said in the comments. If you are going to vote no strictly because you want to keep your insults for people, please just keep it to yourself, because I already know why you're voting no lol.

I'm not trying to be Ghandi or whatever by making this a better place, I mean there shouldn't be people on a blocking frenzy, there should be a limit and or maybe even approval with a Junior Moderator as to why you're blocking them.
But imo, it kind of just needs to happen now. If you block someone from messaging you, they shouldn't be able to contact you through your photo gallery comments.
That being said, the person who has blocked them shouldn't be able to comment on the blocked person's photos either! Just like PM.

I would usually say, that this isnt facebook, so its no from me.
But this time i vote yes. I think it would be good idea.

Maybe even take this further. So that when block, you could check boxes that you want to block.

Own profile
Etc.
One only or as many as you check/all.

it's just I've been on many other forums for gaming, software, programs, etc, and when you block someone there, that person cannot contact you or your gallery comments.

Like, it should be when you comment on a photo when blocked, after you try to post it, it should say, "The user of this photo has blocked you. You are unable to comment or vote."
