I am surprised it does not exist already!
Education is often a popular topic, and careers go hand-in-hand with the discussion. I think careers alone could stand as an independent discussion. I am purposing an – Education and Career – subforum for General Chat.
For a student, there are important decisions to make regarding education and career –- the choices are often difficult to make. I know at the University of Ottawa about 70% of students change their major at some point during their undergraduate studies, and I would imagine that is a universal thing. The choice of school is another question altogether. It is widely accepted that the average person changes careers several times throughout their lifetime, and quite often, will return to further their education.
Therefore, it would not be a stretch to suggest an Education and Career subforum would attract posters. Fortunately, here on d2jsp there are people from all walks of life, and therefore, there are people with questions and people that can provide insight and information.
