you know how facebook and a couple other sites have that notification thingie, so that when you get a new message or a new like or whatever, the facebook tab looks like this:



do the same on d2jsp IM.
it's a great tool, and I use it a lot. but sometimes I can't depend on the "bling" sound it makes when I have a new message or a new reply, because I watch a movie, or I listen to music, or I don't wear my headphones or whatever.
anyway, won't bump this forever, it's a suggestion that is meant to be helpful for the users. if it's easy to be done, it should be done.

I am the "troll" who voted no because, simply, I do not think this is needed. In fact, features like this can be quite annyong at sometimes.

If you want something to notify you, without refreshing the page, just use the IM. It works perfectly fine and is, in my opinion, enough.

First of all I would like to apologize. I missread it. I didn't understand that this should be implemented in the IM.

Cant depend on it because watching a movie? Well, when I watch the movie, I watch it, and check jsp when I'm done. And for the music part, I listen to music too and I have no problems with this. The notifications we have now are enough.
