Okay. I recognize that d2jsp has a younger crowd, but just as much of it being younger, there is a older crowd too. Maybe you're moving into your first apartment, or buying your first house, or have an empty space in your home you just don't know what to do with. Well this could be a place to discuss, ask questions, try to get help, or just talk about what you're doing in your home to make it "Yours".

We've got sections for Pets, Car Audio, and many other subsections in General Chat that may only get one thread/post every 3 days.

This not only makes a section for people who work in these fields to talk about what they are doing or even post before and after pictures to share what they are doing or working on, but it gives anybody who may have questions about what to do, how to do it, what it may cost, etc a place to ask. I feel like this is a subsection that applies to EVERYBODY, not just those who may work in the section.

I would say yes. I'm not really much of a DIY guy quite yet as I'm still young, but there are subforums on here that talk about building computers and such. This is essentially the same thing.

e/ I like this idea. It's always nice to see pictures of peoples' handywork.

I agree completely, and I feel like Home Improvement is something everybody can benefit from. =) Even if its something as simple as checking what ideas other people have for their home.. Maybe its something you want to do too.

I was a profession painter & handyman while i was living in ny. I would have very much liked to have shared what i was working on.
I still go work at home, but not nearly as often.

That's awesome to hear! The more people who actually worked within the confines of this will be great to have as regulars, and its definitely something everybody can benefit from in one way or another.

great idea, everyone should realize that improving your dwelling is one of the easiest way to improve your quality of life.

Sometimes people think the only way to make money is to work a job too, but a few simple things around the house that you may be able to learn to do could increase the value of your house making you extra money and as you said improve their quality of life.
