Since the friends list has been changed you can no longer see which one of your friends is online wihout manging your friends list. There is a last seen/last post timer on there, that is the only thing to know is someone has been online recently. However if you go to a different users profile you can see the online/offline line on there friends list. Showing you if there on the site or not.

So this suggestions is pretty much putting back that online/offline line in the friends list again.

I can easily tell when friends are on or off. In 20 minutes, they're moved to the offline status. So if they are closer to 5 minutes AFK rather than 15 minutes AFK, I can better discern their activity rather than the Online/Offline status marker.

The new system helps me better gauge my friends' activity more so than the old system, imo. If anything, have the Status, Last Seen, and Last Post show up when viewing a different user's profile for their friends, rather than the old system.

You have a point I guess, however I'm sure a lot of people don't care about the activity if I want to know that i'll just go onto there profile. I'd rather just look at my friends list be able to know if there online or not with a simple 1 worded line. The last seen/last post really doesn't need to be there at all.

Also the way it fades and unfades the online/offline word is nice to have in there. He should atleast add that in for the last seen/post as the online/offline one would. That would make a lot more easier to know when there online. (It still has that when you view someone elses profile), if he decided to over look this suggestion/deny it/etc.
