Current Problem
When there is a post in a private topic, under the "View Guild Topics" option, it shows how long it was since the last post. Even without private topic access, it still shows how long ago a post was made even when it was made in a private topic.
In my opinion, a private topic should be kept 100% confidential, because guild owners might not want any worries within the guild members. Knowing a post was made in a section you do not have access to can sometimes be unsettling to those without access.
Notice how the topics I am able to view, the last post was made 8 minutes ago. Then to the left under "View Guild Topics", it shows the last post being 4 minutes ago. This makes it very apparent a private post was made, and I believe that we shouldn't even know when a private post is being made.

Pros
- Relief for guild members, not having to think about what is possibly being posted in private sections.
- Maintains full confidentiality, meaning, nobody even knows when a private post is being made.

Cons
- Guild members normally don't worry themselves with private matters that don't concern them or encompass their guild roles.
- Since the post cannot be seen, no real confidentiality is being breached.

I think it can be considered both a up and a down as well.

Upside would be that it shows guild activity to everyone.
for example a guil with no public topics.

Downside would be exactly what you listed.
People being nosy when they already do not have access to it.

But I would still fix it to display it based on user access.
Such as viewing a users recent posts.
If you can not view it, then it will not show anything at all. (Not the last post but 50 recent posts)

Voted yes.

Yes, I think the pros outweigh the cons, and if there's time for it, it would be a nice add. :)

Not everyone in a guild should know when a post is made within the private leader topics.

As much as I like knowing when everyone posts about me, I think this is a good idea. When, and if, I get a higher guild rank this would be nice to have so none of the lower guild members have to worry.
