OCN has a feature on their threads that let you edit an already existing thread and add a poll. I think this would be a nice feature and might cut back on thread count. They also allow the poster to add a multiple choice option for selecting more than one answer. Finally I think polls should have more than a 10 limit choice.

As long as your topic is not closed or moved to archive, you can already add a poll to your own topic if it does not have one.

Editing the poll gets a no.
Can always edit to remove votes, makes it less worthwhile.

As for more than 10 options, voted no on that as well.
Make a easier topic to be discussed about or have a xx listed at top and "other" as the last option if that comes down to it.

No vision... First you cannot add a poll to an already posted topic. That is dumb right there. Second you cant remove votes on a poll so I dont know what you are talking about. Third, the other is used far too many times on JSP... No vision.

This is why jsp is falling apart imo. No one wants to improve it.

1 - Yes you can.

2 - If editing the poll was possible, then that would mean adding the ability to edit your poll.
This would give you the chance to edit the choices. (Which you suggested)
If you edit something with votes, they would be resetted.

3 - Same with many "Other" posts and topics.
Many of these topics that require a large amount of voted to be selected, will be null'd down if it was allowed to be separate.
This is where "Other" comes in and you post what why you voted "Other".

Mind explaining some more to me on my no vision?

I will explain. By editing I didn't mean changing the poll. Lolz. I mean editing a thread and adding a poll anytime instead of starting a whole new thread. Also as far as "other" goes... What if I had a poll that covered 15 options and stating other would not suffice. Adding more than a measly 10 options would make it more specific of a poll. Nine options and other is just too broad sometimes. Too many polls in GC for instance always have other. Why? Because 10 options instant enough, 20 would be perfect.

So yeah it's an easy fix.

1. Increase poll answers/options to 20.
2. Allow the option to add a poll anytime to a thread instead of require a new thread and poll to be created. This will cut down on the number of threads.

Such a feature already exists but with limits.

Unsure if it based on your warns, where you post, or how long after you make the topic.

I have seen the option already next to "Track Topic" after I made a topic in some sections where it says "Add poll".

There is no add poll section. Either you make a thread with a poll or you don't. Also why are we so against adding 10 more options? Will this create the downfall of polls as we know it?
