Right now, there are many guilds for sale, and it will probably take more than a month for all of them to find a buyer. There are so many existing guilds that are buying new features - so why not help both parties out a little bit?

My suggestion is a guild "buyout" - you can purchase other guilds (For a fee - most likely the standard 1000 or 1500) and obtain all of their features.

For example, Guild Hero is currently for sale. It has 10 member slots, 4 ranks, 1 guild topic, an avatar, a description, a charter and a guild chat.
Now, of course, a guild could not have two avatars, or two guild descriptions, or two guild chats (Maybe in the future on this one), so those features would be lost in the decision of a guild buyout.

If another guild, say Labyrinth were to "buyout" hero - they would gain all of the features that Hero currently possesses.

Pros:
- Opens guild market to existing guild owners
- Allows sellers to sell guilds more quickly
- Allows buyers to obtain parts of their guild more easily

Cons:
- May be difficult to code
- May take away from those looking to get a good deal on guilds
- Loss of guild points from the guild being bought out (To keep in the good minds of the ladder slasher players who work hard to get their points)
- Loss of certain features (Avatar, description, chat - should the buying guild already have these)

I noticed the idea behind a guild merger - this is a similar idea, but under seperate grounds:

The idea behind a merger would not work for a few reasons - It's not possible to modify join dates - all users would lose their join dates and most likely have to manually re-join the guild, It'd be rather difficult to transfer every single member manually - Njaguar currently (If I'm not mistaken) does all guild transfers by hand - so transferring 10-40-100 members to another guild would be a very lengthy process.

This suggestions is simply a buyout of the features, all members would be removed from the old guild upon a buyout

I like the idea.

Yes. Ofc it would also release name of the sold one.
After that, maybe a subforum for selling guild. Only sell. ISO not accepted.
