The change I was thinking of was since the current limitations of 70KB for signatures seems to be an issue for a lot of people (myself included) and the avatar size is rarely used to the full, why not allow a total of 120KB for both avatar and signature instead of 50/70?

So that if you have a lets say 90kb signature, then you would only have 30kb usable for your avatar.

I think this would benefit not only the graphic design forum, but the whole site since signatures are so widely used.

If you don't think this is a good idea and maybe I missed something go ahead and say something, and if this was already posted (I didn't see it anywhere) then sorry.

No, it will make bigger lag in the forum + some ppls avatars are animated and they required 40-50 kbs.

how would it make more lag j/w? if you let people have 120 overall, why would allowing 120 overall make it more laggy?

it wouldn't... it would just be a bigger job for the members++ to add up the sig / avatar kilobytes to make sure you're in the correct range...

it's time consuming & not worth it just to make a couple extra users happy about having a more detailed sig.
