So I am basically summarizing part of Apology (Plato), and I feel like I am making it obvious that I am doing that. I plan to have a translation of Apology in my works cited. However, is there a need to footnote every single one of these sentences that are part of the summarization?

The basic story of the Apology is that Socrates’ friend asks the Oracle who the wisest man is. In response, the Oracle says that Socrates is the wisest man. Upon, hearing of this, Socrates is confused and in disbelief. He never believed himself as being wise and thought many men to be wiser than he. He sets out on a mission to find a wiser man then him by interrogating people who are known for their wisdom such as poets, politicians and craftsmen. However, to his dismay, he found that these people enjoyed acting knowledgeable in subjects that they were ignorant of. It was in this discovery that Socrates noted that he doesn’t claim to know things that he does not know and therefore is at least wiser than these people.
