anyone know how to solve cubic equations with a Ti-84 Calculator or a TI-36X Pro?

What do you mean? Like when you need to take the cube root of something?

Graph it.
Use the zero function.

KhanAcademy has it all on cubic roots. The only graphical way to do it is as RzChaos says.

you don't unless you want to do it by hand. Graphing is the easiest way then go to the 0 locations to solve it.

There is no algebraic solver for this, in the market's versions of TI, as far as I know
Get approximate values as described above, or do your own little program to get closed formulaes - the same way you probably did it with quadratic equations.

Maybe you mean the rational root theorem? Don't think you'll need a calculator for this though.

Are you trying to figure out how to take the cube root of something? I think you can just do X ^ 1/3

No I have a cubic equation (x^3 +.....)

The Ti-36X Pro cant graph/plot functions and the professor erases the calculator memory before the exam (this is to prevent any sort of programming)....

so how would you obtain the 3 roots of a cubic equation??
