has anyone taken biochem, i take it this semester and would like some pointers please!

i took biochem college course

lots of info, understand the big picture.
before u getinto the course, i recommmed u memorizing all 20 amino acids/structure/names/abbreviations.
thats a first start. shouldnt be too bad.

Next memorize glycolysis,pentosephosphate pathway,citric acid cycle, oxidative phosphorlation pathways.
know structure/enzymes associated with glycolysis and Citric acid cycle (those 2 are main big ones u should memorize)

if u do this, ur in a headstart


this is just couple of the MANY info u need to know. It incoporates gen chem/ochem/bio informations which will help you to understand biochem alot better

I took biochem as part of my microbiology degree. Download Stryer, there's a torrent for it knocking about somewhere - it's got all you'll need to know.
