I read the sticky and a guide from my college but I am still confused.

Example of situation:
In a text book titled 'Bla bla of employees a' 3rd edition reprinted in 2014 and ISBN 1234567
Author Aaron Bens, Carl Dong
Publisher Edyum Group
On page 44, it mentions the theory of Sally Keith with no date, then explains the theory.
Sally Keith (1940-2000) serves as a found of the Keith theory which is that workers are people not machines.

Sally Keiths theory has inspired me to write a paragraph about the same thing, how do I reference it both in-text and end-text? I am not going to use a quote from the book I just want to briefly mention her theory in my paragraph. eg.

Quote
The Keith theory helped the revolution of bla bla and the idea that employees are not just mindless machines that perform the same task over and over.

Edit: I hope this is easy enough to understand what I am asking. Please let me know if it needs any further clarification

I meant who do I cite the creator of the theory or the book I found the theory in. Someone Pmd and helped. I still think citing like this is rediculously complicated.
