need to derive

y = Sq root of (sin(1+x^2)
or simply (sin(1+x^2))^1/2

Unsure of how chain rule is used

its a double chain rule

derivative is 1/2(sin(1+x^2))^-1/2 * cos(1+x^2) * 2x

then simplify

(Exponent) * (Function raised to exponent -1) * (Derivative of sin(x^2 + 1)) * Derivative of (x^2 + 1)

1/2 * sin(x^2 + 1)^-.5 * cos(x^2 + 1) * 2x

(2x * cos(x^2 + 1) ) / (2 * (sin(x^2 +1)^.5))

xcos(x^2 + 1) / (sin(x^2 + 1)^.5)

Damn you beat me.

The answer came up as xcsc instead of cos... They must have fkd it all up lol

Thank you, that's a relief
