knowing OP, i dont think he's asking for help with math problems. i think he's asking specifically about the major in order to pursue some career path.

I was a math major (BS in mathematics). I work under an accounting department at a corporation, officially to model risk, but realistically I mostly work on special projects and review work done by others as a sanity check. Not glamorous but it pays the bills.
