Hey guys I was just bored and decided to try looking at some old assignments from years and years ago. Can anyone show me the work I would get to get the answer for this. ((12x+2)/5)-(x/4)=21.9

I know the answer in my head is x=10 but i forgot how i get the answer.

((12x+2)/5)-(x/4)=21.9

split up the /5

12x/5 + 2/5 - x/4 = 21.9

move the 2/5 to the other side

12x/5 - x/4 = 21.5

getting rid of denominator by multiplying by 20

48x - 5x = 430
43x = 430
x = 10
