To learn the algebra involved in calculus for derivatives
My algebra is shit, and I got a test next wednesday.
And my only problem is attacking the algebra

Read an algebra book? Practice problems?

You didn't really give much detail on what in particular you need help with...

A lot of basic derivative problems just involve you being given a function, taking the first and second derivative, and find the values where X = 0 in each. So I guess practice factoring polynomials?

Yeah chapter 3 of calc, apply the derivative test and finding the critical points

Intermediate algebra I guess right ?

learn what you need to know in class

like types of derivations

then read your book and do practice problems

There is no easy way to learn it on the fly. It is a skill that is built up over all your algebra classes you took.
