Not entirely sure how to calculate the error bars in standard deviation

Is it just one sd above and one sd below??

by error do you mean outliers?

if so; it is 2 standard deviations above/below the x̄(mean).

x̄ + 2s (2 standard devs) or x̄ - 2s contains about 95% of all the values in the data set.
