I'm trying to help him with some simple homework but I was terrible at math and I don't know what to do here. I dont want to look like a fuckup in front of my son... We can't do 15 or 16 ill repay anyone who helps the best I can.

I got 14-15 done for him but I'm still struggling with 16, I really didn't learn this in school and his book doesn't help much.

For Number 15:

1.5% of the 4000 have the disease
(4000)(.015) = 60
Of the 60, 90% test positive so : (60)(0.9) = 54 people test positive <---Part A

The test is 90% accurate (true positive), so (54)(.9) = 48.6 rounded to 49 people have the disease <-- Part B

If you're not familiar with (x)(y) it just means to multiply those values
The wording of the problem is rather confusing

Thanks for the input. I got the same answers but the wording of all the problems is what tripped me up.
