can anyone show me how to do these homework problems?

Alpha = 1
Beta = 1

What are you stuck on? Since you have alpha and beta this is mostly simple algebra and calc I'd prefer to help someone do their homework not do it for them because homework doesn't really matter, tests do. If you can't do hw you won't be able to do tests.

Where are you stuck? What notation is your prof using with the x^(1), x^(2), and x^(3)?
