The distance from the Earth to the sun is 1.406x10^11 meters. A solar flare occurs on the suns surface on Wednesday morning at 10:24 AM. At what time and on what day will electromagnetic radiation from the flare reach the Earth?

Some additional info given on the paper

Speed of light in vacuum = 186,000 miles per second

1 mile = 1609.34 meters
1 light year = 9.46 x 10^15 meters
1 light year = 5.8 x 10^12 miles

1) compute the distance between earth to sun in miles
2) divide that distance in mile by the speed of light in vacuum (in miles/s)
3) translate that amount from seconds to minutes + seconds
4) add that to 10:24.

If I remember correctly, it is about 8 minutes, so aroud 10:32.
