What level class is this?
Normal resistors you would be talking about direct current and direct current resistors are pretty easy to understand in just terms of parallel, series, and equivalent resistance vs the direct current power source (battery etc).
This seems to be pretty good at explaining the basics of DC resistor voltage circuits.

If you haven't touched AC circuits in your course then this is a rather simple assignment.
