Don't you mean cubic feet?
if you need 360ft^3 and the bags hold 2ft^3, then it's 360/2= 180 bags

best bet is to buy it in bulk instead of bags

I said cubic feet for the bags. I am making a garden that is going to be 12ft (l)x10 ft. (w)x3ft (deep)= 360 sq. ft. I was trying to figure out how many sq. ft were in 2 cu. ft. Fioravati said 1.5 (rounded off) According to that I will need 2 bags @ 2 cu ft each to cover 3 sq. ft. Which is roughly 240 bags. I think. I would buy in bulk but I'm not sure where to get some good top soil in that amount. Plus I was going to mix it with Miracle -Gro at a 3/1 basis. 3 top soil vs.1 Miracle-Gro.

3 dimensional , ft^3

180 bags is a lot, you might want to call a small dump truck

13.5 cubic yard is about 360ft^3

also, please ignore what the other person said
honestly if you don't trust this, you can simply ask the store you're buying from. They'll be able to calculate it for you

Why 3 feet deep ?

12 x 10 x 3deep = 360 cu ft.

If one bag = 2 cu ft, than you need 180 bags...

Why not 1 foot deep for 120 cu ft, so 60 bags ?

or even 6 inch deep for 60 cu ft, so 30 bags ?

You will not grown anything that needs more than 6 inch deep.
