So I have my history final due in about 2 days, and I have't even begun yet because I don't know what to write about. The description says:

"Construct a formal 5-6 page research paper discussing the influence of global forces on the development of early Western civilization. Select a non-Western event, idea, or group that helped shape Western civilization, research the topic in depth using a minimum of two books and three scholarly articles, and construct a paper explaining the event, idea, or group and its significant contribution to Western civilization. In this instance, non-Western is defined as existing outside of Europe, Mesopotamia, and Northern Africa"

Initially when I read it I thought it said 'Select a Western event'. So I wrote about 2 pages on that before finally realizing I messed up. If anyone could offer just an idea that would be great. Thank you so much

3) ask friend what to do

4) Get started

5) non-Western event to choose - Polygamy

Make some B.S how the Cultural influences of Islam were so vast that it assimilated itself into Morman culture, AKA polygamy.

To expand upon this into modern times, illustrate through additional B.S how the evolution of "Wincest" is yet another radical extension of traditional practices (polygamy)

Here's the tricky part, you must guide the reader through the subtle connection between ISIS and Western Culture

perhaps you can say how radical Islam of ISIS will inevitably spread to Western Culture, just like polygamy did, and Consume contemporary culture? (be creative here)

Man, I wish I would've checked back here before I started my actual topic. That sounds alot better than what I did xD. I ended up doing The Silk Road, and how it influenced Western Culture, with a bunch of bullshit for 5 pages, and I still got an A-, if I had any fg i'd don8 for sure. Thank you sir.
