I have no idea how to stay focused on doing homework as it is boring. Need suggestions.

They're core classes (math/english). I'm blankly staring at this 3 page essay I need to write and seeing all the numbers and stuff is making me zone out. I get stuff done with beer but the thing is I don't like doing it that way. Is there another way?

I can only study in my thinking chair, that is my computer chair. Make sure you are comfortable where you are. Secondly, make sure you are well rested, and not hungry. That stuff distracts you. Finally, motivate yourself to enjoy the subject you are learning.
