Each student will be given one (1) sport. There is a two (2) page requirement. NO MORE THAN TWO PAGES. Place all your information in bullet point style of writing. I do not want a narrative; I just want the information in a well-organized format. Citations are mandatory (APA or MLA), while I know this isn’t a regular paper, your information given must be cited. The absence of citations is red flag for plagiarism. Any suspected plagiarism will be reported, usually resulting in expulsion of the University. If you have never cited an article or haven’t ever searched for scholarly writings, the Library will help and I will be glad to help point you in the right direction.
Needs Analysis 50 points DUE MONDAY, MARCH 23, 2015
Two main parts of a Needs analysis are (1) the Evaluation of Sport and (2) the Assessment of the Athlete.
The Evaluation of Sport is just as it sounds, you will analyze the sport’s characteristics. The Assessment of Sport is broken into three main parts:
1. Movement analysis
• Main Motor Patterns found in the sport.
• I.E. Running, Sprinting, Kicking, Throwing, Jumping. Anything unique to that sport such as “shots on goal” needs to have a brief description.
• I want Joint involvement in reference to the power production of the sport (hip extension, shoulder flexion, etc.)
• I want the muscular actions that correspond to the joint involvement. You do not need to list every individual muscle within a large group, however, I do want you to list the muscles that act on those joints you previously listed.
An example: Major Movement pattern in Kickball is Kicking
• Joint Involvement:
o Kicking: Unilateral hip flexion, with active knee extension and dorsiflexiox of the ankle in kicking leg. Triple extension of the hip, knee and ankle in the stance leg for power transfer
• Muscular Actions
o Quadriceps and Hip flexor group flex the hip, quadriceps extend the knee and Tibialis anterior dorsiflex the ankle in the kicking leg. Gluteus maximus and Hamstrings work to extend the hip, Quadriceps extends the knee and gastrocnemius and soleus plantar flex the stance leg.
2. Physiological demands/Metabolic demands
• Intensities at which the sport is played. Work to Rest intervals. Ex. How long does a play last in basketball? OR How long does a player usually have the ball in soccer?
3. Injury Analysis
• Main areas often seen injured in the sport and how often they are seen.
The Assessment of the Athlete is a complete athlete profile. Each sport develops the body in a different way based off of what it demands of the athlete. While I am not giving you an athlete on which to do tests, I want you to tell me the characteristics of the average athlete.
1. Anthropometric measures (what the average athlete “looks like”)
• Examples of this include but are not limited to height, weight, wingspan, girth measurements, Body fat composition, Lean mass, etc.
2. Physiological measurements (biochemical and physiological characteristics of the average athlete in the sport)
• This section should include physiological characteristics that the athlete possesses as a result of being a high-level competitor as well as the measurements we commonly seen taken in a laboratory setting such as VO2MAX, Lactate Threshold, Blood Lactate levels during exercise/ immediately post-exercise, Power outputs, fatigue indexes (Wingate testing), etc.

This is crazy, I can't find any freaking articles to use information from. My topic is Synchronized Swimming..what a shitty sport

I need some damn articles to use, can anyone find some for me? I'll pay fg
