So I'm getting 2 pounds of a round wire that has a density of .29lb/in³, and a radius of .01005" (24 AWG). So far, this is what I have:

H=V/πr²
V=2lb / .29lb/in³ --> 6.8965517241379310344827586206897in³
H=6.8965517241379310344827586206897in³/πr²
H=6.8965517241379310344827586206897in³/π(.01005in)²
H=6.8965517241379310344827586206897in³/.0003173087119942030915678231383196in²
H ~ 21734 in
H ~ 1811 ft

Is this correct?

e: This isn't homework btw, this is a real-life problem :P
