If you arent willing to dedicate your entire day today to complete this please dont post, at the VERY latest I need this done tomorrow morning. If I cant find someone I will do it myself. :/
I need a paper written. I will provide the documents one needs to read in order to complete this assignment.
|||| Writing a Laboratory Procedure ||||
Objectives: Upon completion of this assignment, the student will:
1. Write a procedure following Clinical Laboratory Standards Institute (CLSI) GP2-A guidelines, using the template provided.
2. Justify the need for a clear and consistent format when developing any laboratory procedure.
CLS Scope of Practice (Why you need to know this):
Developing procedure manuals and writing effective policies and procedures are learning standards in the ASCLS Body of Knowledge and the ASCLS Entry Level Curriculum. The ASCP Board of Certification (BOC) Medical Laboratory Scientist Examination Content Guideline indicates the CLS graduate should be able to provide administrative and technical consulting services on laboratory testing by developing acceptable laboratory procedure manuals.
Assignments:
Your laboratory manager has asked you to write a procedure for a new method to be implemented into your laboratory. As an entry-level practitioner, your assignment will be a CLIA-waived test. To complete this assignment, you will need to:
1. Read the following documents: ( All of these will be provided )
a. ‘Writing a Laboratory Procedure: CLSI Guidelines’
b. ‘Template for Procedure’
c. ‘ICON SC Strep A Product Instructions’
2. Write a laboratory procedure following CLSI guidelines using the product instruction for the ICON SC Strep A Test. Download the ‘Template for Procedure’ from Blackboard and save the file to work in. This is the format you will use to submit your paper.
Guidelines:
• You can use fictional names to complete the demographic table on page 1 of the template
• Spacing on the template has been minimized; use as much space as needed to complete this assignment.
• It is acceptable to cut and paste bits of information, if appropriate, from the manufacturer’s package insert, however only use information applicable to a clinical technologist.
• There may be headers in the template that are not appropriate for the provided package insert, due to the fact that this is a CLIA-waived test. These template headers do NOT need to be included in this laboratory procedure paper.
• The “Writing a Laboratory Procedure Assessment” will be used to grade this paper, so be sure to address all rubrics in your paper.
• An example of a well written laboratory procedure is available to view on Blackboard.
