I am trying to think of a medically related research topic I can use for my English class. I am having trouble thinking of a topic that's debatable.

I was thinking along the lines of "Neurological effects of xxxxxxxxxx" - although it has to be an issue question. BTW I have no medical background, I want a medical topic because I want to learn some neuroscience (and to confuse my English teacher xD)

So basically what I am asking is: What is a neuroscience issue that is debatable?

not knowledgeable at all in this field but thought of these when read ur post

off top of head i think of...
treating parkinson's disease with levadopa (treats the tremos, but after long time effectiveness wears off and causes side effects)
the ethical issue with different types of neurological research on subjects/animals/pts
effects/ethical issues of shock therapy
lobotomy as treatment for psyc disorders
effects of kids using screens (tv/games/comps) so ealry and much


non neuro things....
such hi use of antibiotics leading/causing antibiotic resistance
vaccines and risk of causing autoimmune disorders
dna mapping (knowing risks for kids getting certain diseases before hand and effecting how they're raised even though may not develop said disease)
