lets say I have a 8x8 matrix with a bunch of numbers in it.
how would I delete columns 7 and 8 and rows 7 and 8 so it becomes a 6x6 matrix? or what is the command to do this?

how about multiplying just first column by a constant number?
Original matrix A
New Matrix B will have the first column miutipled by a constant but the rest are the same?
