So I need to graph this problem. SS is below. I downloaded a functions/graphing calc app through the windows 8.1 store but I don't know what the hell I am doing. I've never been taught how to use a graphing calculator.

I am so lost in the sauce.

You don't need a graphing calculator for this problem.
You can simply look at your equations and tell which graph is correct.

use x=0 to find y intercept
use y=0, same as setting your equation to 0, to solve for x intercept
is a sure way to know where the lines cross the x and y axis

or just look at how much the lines are shifted up/down then look at slope

----
but to use graphing calculator, you just type in the equation :/
I'd assume a ti-84 is expected for this

Thanks!

So how do I graph it though? lol

Edit: That way is so simple what it works really well. Thank you mate.

In rectangle your width , horizontal, is longer usually 99%

and vertical is shorter, at least for graphing calculators

so when it goes from rectangle to square, a line with a positive slope will seem more positive since the x tick marks get closer together
-----------------
for part b, i know you got it wrong but
think of it as drawing a line from the corner of a sheet of paper to the other corner diagonally
that's the rectangle view
----------

Idk what graphing app you use. Show interface

or just go to www.wolframalpha.com
type in your equations as is and it'll graph them
it's pretty friendly so you can try phrases to get it to do what you want

may be wrong, but from my understanding... if using a graphin calc u hit "y=" button, input the equations, then hit "graph" The [-10, 10, 1] by [-10, 10, 1] is the "window" they want u to use. hit "window" and "xmin" set as -10, "xmax" set as 10, "xscale" set as 1, then second []"s are the y values. for the zoom part, u hit "zoom" the select zsquare (5)

Yeah I figured it out later after contemplating what the matrix was. I don't have a graphing calculator anyways and I buy a year subscription to Wolfram. Windows 8 calc apps are shitty unless you buy them I found out. lol
