Laticia is a physical education major in her third year in college. She recently sprained her ankle in a tennis match and has been taking pain medication. Last night she dreamed that she was walking through marshlands where every
step was painful. She knew she had a long way to go but each step seemed to further increase her distance from dry land, which she could see in the distance. She really wanted to get out of the swamp, but she was so tired, and
it was such a long way, and she just wanted to rest. But she noticed movement in the waters around her, and she feared there could be snakes, or even alligators. She panicked, and in so doing, woke herself up. Select one of the theories of dreams, and interpret Laticia's dream. Indicate what the dream meant and why you selected the particular theory.

sounds like Freudian theory of dreams...

A dream like this usually signifies a lack of control, when we are overwhelmed with a situation and want to give up. You have nothing to hold onto, and if you do, you usually don’t in the dream; you cannot stop or control this downward fall. You are powerless to stop falling, and this may show that Linda is worried about her sprained ankle in this case.
