I need to write an essay on two Plantagenet rulers who shaped England's state and how it applies to the US today. They have to be chosen between the time period of William I 1066 to Richard III 1486. Any ideas for good picks?

Edward the third would be an interesting choice, assumed the throne at 14 and made some interesting changes
