the starting square has area 7^2 = 49 square units area and 4x7 = 28 units of perimeter
the next square can be calculated using pytagoras with the side being the hypotenuse of the triangle, ie sqrt (2 x 3.5^2)
take note that the ratio between the squares will be constant, so you should be able to solve it from here
