I've got Math down, science down, English timing needs work but I'll get it...

Reading, on the other hand, is making me mad. I never know how to answer the questions that ask "What can you infer...?" "From the passage, you can tell Sally is...?" And it gives like opinionated answers. It's dumb.

I know what you're talking about. just play nice and go with the flow, the book won't listen to your opinions

Truly, I can relate to this problem, having no absolute right or wrong; just inferences, assumptions, etc.

Id agree with the previous post 100%, dont try to over analyze anything and if you pick an answer that you believe is correct at that particular time dont go back and change it later (say you were to review all the questions quickly after youve answered everything). I've been told your first instinct is almost always better than if you look at it later and feel like the answer should be different.

Alright, I'll go by instinct. I just try to imagine myself in the scene and imagine how I would judge or how I would infer they are.

the correct answers will always be the one with the most textual support. So it technically isn't an opinion based question. But the reason your gut reaction is correct most of the time is because you pick up on the support and it makes you feel like that one answer is correct even if you aren't consciously aware of why. If you go back later, having forgotten the supporting pieces, it is much harder to guess at the right answer. With the time constraints, I would NOT recommend spending the time to look for the support. These questions test how well you can pick out small details and compile them into accurate views about a passage and it is meant to be difficult to prove an answer in that amount of time, and they really don't want you to. These are the questions that separate the good from the best. I would recommend spending time on your practice tests looking for the evidence so that you can see the types of things that should point you towards a certain choice. Also spend extra time on these questions when you practice if this isn't your strong suite. But most of all, try to relax and do your best!

Yeah you're right (about the textural support), but it's always so minuscule or I always go right over it!

I'm aiming for at least a 30 and this, of any subject, will easily bring my average down...

Out of 3 practices (all unofficial in-class practices with teacher from ACT booklet) I got a theoretical 21, 22, and 25 haha.
