If so, can you post the solution to this problem (picture or text would be fine)?
A roadway sign weights 6 kN and is supported by a structural pipe tha thas an outside diameter of 275 mm and a wall thickness of 12.5 mm. The resultant force of the wind pressure acting on the sign is 11 kN as shown. Determine the total normal and shear stress at point H and K.
I see it is up there, i just don't have a membership.

normal force from 6kn downward + normal force by moment created by 11kn ( 0 at center and max at outer radius)+ normal force by moment from 6kn
shear by torque (max at outer radius) + shear by perpendicular 11kn

I'm saying the normal and shear are made up of those....

hmm ya, thatpicture kinda sucks
i'm pretty sure they're 180degrees from each other though
